We were fortunate to collaborate with Jenna Hua, the Founder and CEO of Million Marker. Million Marker offers a convenient mail-in toxicity test service that leverages your data to enhance fertility possibilities through tailored diet and product suggestions.
A few months ago, Million Marker initiated a crowdfunding campaign. However, their primary objective was to identify an ideal lead investor who could not only contribute to the crowdfunding campaign but also potentially cover the entirety of their pre-seed funding round.
Million Marker encountered difficulties in their search for investors. Their strategies included directly connecting with and reaching out to investors on LinkedIn, or acquiring a proprietary database and launching their outreach efforts from that point.
While both strategies are acceptable and commonly used, the reality is that starting from scratch can be quite challenging. Without a clear understanding of your investor audience and the expertise to craft compelling emails, these efforts can turn into a pain in the butt.
At StormX, we supported Jenna by facilitating a comprehensive due diligence process to find the right investors for Million Marker, given its focus on Health and Wellness, Fertility, and Personal Diagnostics.
The first step in this process involved integrating Jenna into the StormX platform, ensuring she had full control over her campaign. We allocated a dedicated data researcher to her account who provided customer support and populated Jenna’s account with pertinent investor contacts.
Once integration is completed, the next step is crafting the content of the outreach emails. These investors either scheduled calls through the StormX’s built-in calendar system or shared their phone numbers for a direct call.
