The Challenge:

Originally, Breinfuel had planned to collaborate with venture capitalists (VCs). However, given the nascent stage of their product and lack of robust sales projections, attracting VCs posed a significant challenge. Consequently, we shifted our strategy, choosing to engage with private investors and family offices to jumpstart their fundraising initiative.

The Solution:

We were privileged to collaborate with Dr. Gerald Horn and his team on this project. The collaboration kicked off with an onboarding call, during which we scrutinized their investor preferences. However, we suggested a divergent path involving a new set of investors to explore and gather information on. In just two weeks, after setting up their email domain, we accumulated a list of 600 contacts and initiated outreach to these potential investors. Additionally, we crafted email scripts to facilitate this process.

Upon launching their campaign on the StormX platform, we noticed significant traction within the first week and a half. Our metrics revealed a successful engagement rate, with 6–8 investor meetings being scheduled per week. Remarkably, by the end of the third month, they had a lead investor who not only committed to fulfilling their pre-seed funding but also offered strategic advice for their entry retail markets.

Breinfuel is now being sold at 7-ElevenShop MarketRiverside, as well as CVS Health, one of the largest drugstore chains in the United States.

The Results:

StormX and Breinfuel have been conducting weekly strategy sessions, focusing on active engagement with their desired audience to facilitate impactful interactions. Additionally, StormX has been offering advice to some team members responsible for investor relations on effective pitching strategies. All necessary investor contact details, be it from private or family offices, have been made available to the team in their StormX account.

The collaboration between StormX and Breinfuel has proven to be a resounding success, marked by effective strategy planning, vigorous outreach to potential investors, and an impressive traction achieved within a short span. Despite the initial challenges of attracting venture capitalists, the transition to engaging with private investors and family offices proved to be a productive and strategic move. Now, Breinfuel, the brainchild of pharmaceutical scientist and Lasik surgeon Dr. Gerald Horn, is making its mark in major retail outlets including 7-Eleven, Shop Market, Riverside, and CVS Health, one of the largest drugstore chains in the U.S. This story serves as a powerful testament to the power of adaptability, strategic collaboration, and innovative thinking in the face of challenges.
