Setting up SMTP / IMAP for Google

1. Login to your Google account.

2. Go to ‘Manage Account’ and click on ‘Security’ (https://myaccount.google.com/security).

3. Go to 2-Step Verification and set the app password

4. Copy the generated password and click ‘Done.’

5. Go to Gmail settings and enable IMAP.

Use the following SMTP / IMAP credentials​

SMTP

SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com

SMTP Username: your Gmail address

SMTP Password: the password generated in the previous steps

SMTP Port: 587 if you enable TLS, otherwise 465

IMAP:

IMAP Server: imap.gmail.com

IMAP Username: your Gmail address

IMAP Password: the password generated in the previous steps

IMAP Port: 993
